Aphrodisias Pamukkale Tour is day tour from Pamukkale Hotels , Denizli or Istanbul, everyday departure daily sighseeing tour to Pamukkale. The ancient city of Aphrodisias is one of the most important archaeological sites of the late Hellenistic and Roman period in Turkey. It lies in inland Caria in the Meander river basin, 230 kilometers southeast of the port of Izmir (ancient Smyrna). Famous for its sanctuary of Aphrodite, the city\'s patron goddess, and for its marble sculptors, Aphrodisias enjoyed a long and prosperous existence from the first century BC to the sixth century AD. Today, many of the city\'s ancient monuments remain standing, and excavations have unearthed an unusual number of marble statues and inscriptions, as well as buildings and other artifacts.

Pamukkale; This natural wonder, famous for its white terraces,is 14 km from the city of Denizli and just to the north of Pamukkale village.Having been included in the list of \"World\'s Cultural Heritages\" by UNESCO,Pamukkale has become a tourist centre popular with local visitiors as well as foreign visitors. Terraces have been formed on the side of a hill some 400 m. above sea-level.The limestonebearing water originates from a natural spring with a temperature of 35 degree Celcius. When the lime settles, the sight resembles heaps of cotton. It is due to this resemblance that this region is called Pamukkale, which means \"Cotton Castle\".The Pamukkale terraces are spread over a 4 km wide area. With its pools of water, and travertines, these terraces offer visitors unending pleasure at sunset with the tricks of light played.Visitors are permitted to walk upon the terraces and this is one of the saddening reasons that it is difficult for formations to take place during the tourism season.
